MALAYSIA
A melting pot of several cultures, Malaysia is where you can experience every flavour that the Asian subcontinent has to offer. With malls that offer hours of happy diversion, delicious food to tempt every palate, and some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world, Malaysia’s diversity makes it the perfect getaway. Langkawi’s ninety-nine islands are home to several local legends, pristine beaches and natural marvels. Pangkor Island and Kota Kinabalu are two increasingly popular destinations for the pleasure seeker. And the several smaller towns showcase the country’s art, crafts and cultural heritage. Your holiday here will leave you richer in experience.

Kuala Lumpur:
kuala lumpur   It’s hard to make Kuala Lumpur out. Its landscape is an interesting mix of towering skyscrapers, Turkish-inspired domes, colourful markets, temples and mosques. Take a short stroll and within minutes you will be greeted by the aromas of frangipani, satay on hot coals and frothy teh tarik. It’s a city that’s determined to overwhelm; and certain to be loved.

Langkawi:
langkawi It is the archetypal beach destination, with swaying palms, sparkling waters and endless sandy stretches. But Langkawi is much more than just this. Not too far away from the tourist hubs you will find a setting that’s more pastoral: rice fields, ambling water buffaloes and quaint villages. Langkawi has not let the influx of visitors disturb its arcadian charm.
Penang:
Penang is a multicultural potpourri. This is evident no matter where you are in this tiny state: amidst its ancient mansions, in its ethnically diverse neighbourhoods, and most palpably so on its streets amidst hawkers selling their delicious wares. Here you will find Chinese, Malay, Indian and even European flavours. Come prepared, with enough space around the belt. This is, after all, the food capital of Malaysia.
Taman Negara
It’s most humbling to walk though a forest where prehistoric creatures once roamed. Indeed, Teman Negara transports you into another, forgotten period: with trees that make you feel dwarfed, some of the world’s most exotic and endangered animals, aboriginal dwellers and vividly coloured insects of strangely magnified proportions. You will come across some vestiges of ecotourism — a canopy walk about 25-40 m. above the forest floor; provisions for fishing, bird watching and observing luminous flora at night — but the world’s oldest tropical rainforest doesn’t seem to notice the passage of time.
Cameron Highlands
Years ago, wealthy colonialists came to the highlands charmed by its cool atmosphere and undisturbed beauty. Cameron Highlands retains the charm of an English countryside, albeit with an exotic Malaysian air. The region comprises the towns of Tanah Rata, Brinchang, Ringlet, and several smaller settlements. There is much to explore: butterfly gardens, flower gardens, honey-bee farms and of course — the hallmark of the Highlands — tea plantations where you may sip a steaming cup surrounded by the plants it came from.
pangkor
Pangkor was once a haven for fishermen, sailors, merchants, pirates and people belonging to every trade even remotely connected to the sea. Today its shores still beckon, but for purposes that have little to do with work. Laze around on its sandy beaches, snorkel, dive, go wind surfing or just explore this enchanting island. Its erstwhile visitors have all left imprints in the form of forts, temples and other edifices. As for the fisher folk, their trade still thrives, as Pangkor’s several seafood restaurants will attest.

kota kinabalu
The capital of Sabah has it all: an excellent nightlife, some of the country’s best leisure centres, wonderful golfing spaces, and some prestige buildings thrown in for good measure. But it doesn’t stop here. The city also delights those who prefer pursuits closer to nature. Two famous nature centres are located practically at its doorstep: the Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre at Likas, where a 1.5 km. boardwalk takes you deep into a 60-acre mangrove; and the islands of the TAR National Park where you can go on a jungle trek, dive or take it easy on a golf course.
