City Information
Kuala Lumpur
The development of this
city has produced an interesting mix of
architecture, as palatial colonial buildings
contrast with modern structures. These,
coupled with the many markets and the
traditional culture in the lanes of China
Town make Kuala Lumpur an unforgettable
experience for the visitor.
Penang
Penang, often referred to as the Pearl
of the Orient, is one of the most romantic
cities of the Far East. In the island capital of
Georgetown, modern skyscrapers rise from one
of Southeast Asia’s largest collections of intact
pre-war buildings. Penang is a city steeped in
history, yet surprisingly modern in its outlook.
Langkawi
A cluster of 99 islands off the
coast of Kedah, Langkawi is a paradise of sundrenched
beaches and ancient rainforests. It
is easily accessible by air, with flights from

Ferries connect the island to the northern
mainland as well as to Penang.
Pangkor Island
Just off the west coast of
Perak is a jewel-like island where pirates and
adventurers have all weighed anchor in past
centuries. What attracted them to the island is
clear: soft white sand, azure waters, sheltered
inlets, lush forests and an all pervading sense
of peace. Tourists from the world over come
here to indulge in water sports, angling, diving
or simply to laze about on the beach.

butterflies. Any time of the year is perfect for
a visit.
Tioman Island
Off the coast of peninsular
Malaysia lies Tioman Island. With just eight
villages on the island, and several luxurious
resorts, Tioman has become a popular holiday
spot. It is surrounded by several coral reefs,
which are a treat for scuba enthusiasts.
Kota Kinabalu
A popular holiday
destination, Kota Kinabalu is particularly
appealing to eco-tourists. Here, you may choose
to stay in luxury resort hotels and be pampered
in spas, go shopping, trek into the jungle, go
whitewater rafting, or explore the hot springs.
