Thailand

Limestone cliffs, white powdery beaches, tranquil broad bays and tropical inland forests combined with world class hotels and sophisticated restaurants give Thailand the justly deserved sobriquet of the Pearl of the Andaman. Rejuvenate in a seaside bungalow, spending day after sunny day on the beach in nearperfect tranquillity. Shop for apparel and artefacts at malls and quaint flea markets. And discover a serene underwater paradise.

City Information

Bangkok

Locally known as Krung Thep or the City of Angels, this truly is a vibrant city, with its heavenly flavours, sights and experiences that seduce all who visit. Bangkok balances its exuberant modern development with a reverent celebration of traditional Thai culture - most evident in the glorious wats and the extraordinary food. Bangkok has long been a hub for travellers, offering a winning combination of reasonable prices and excellent tourist amenities.

Pattaya

Over time, Pattaya has grown into Thailand’s most developed resort town. It has Thailand’s best concentration of water sports, dive schools and golf courses and there is a buzzing nightlife as well as quality family pursuits to be enjoyed here. The resorts tend to be self-contained islands of pampered luxury.

Phuket

One of Thailand’s best known holiday destinations, Phuket’s greatest attractions are its beaches, fabulous swathes of golden sand which can compete with the best around the world. There are some sensational coral reefs, home to tropical fish of various kinds, which provide excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. Phuket Town has some fascinating temples and Chinese colonial buildings worth exploring.

Krabi

One of Thailand’s most attractive destinations, Krabi Province in southern Thailand is an ideal getaway teeming with clean white beaches, fascinating coral reefs, large and small islands and verdant forests with caves and waterfalls.

Koh Samui

The beaches of Koh Samui are amongst the most pristine you will ever see and the island has managed to retain its rural charm. Two popular activities here are snorkeling and diving in the coral reefs off the coast of Samui itself. Much of the interior of the island is covered in rainforest, interspersed with rubber plantations and a number of waterfalls, which provide a superb contrast to the coastal areas and are worthy of exploration. In contrast to its unspoiled natural beauty, the island’s nightlife is well developed to cater to visitors’ tastes.
Four Island Snorkeling by Speed Boat in Krabi

Four Island Snorkeling by Speed Boat in Krabi

Tab Island is an exotic tropical island, ideal for easy snorkeling and exploring on foot. When the tide is low, you can walk along the sandy causeway that joins the neighbouring island. Poda Island is a small island - no more than a kilometre in diameter - with a coral reef about 20 metres from the beach. Visit Chicken Island for more snorkeling and take home souvenir photos of the local landmark, a limestone rock in the shape of a chicken’s head and neck. Hadd Tham Phra Nang Beach peninsula is said to have a decorative spirit house and more swimming off its famous beach.
Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi Island

The island is located just 48 kilometres to the east of Phuket, off the western coastline of southern Thailand in the Andaman Sea. It is renowned across the world for its natural scenic beauty, with silver beaches fringed with palm trees, towering limestone cliffs and hills full of lush greenery. Offshore, a bank of coral reefs provide a glimpse of marine life whilst spots such as the historic Viking Cave add a fascinating dimension to exploration. You can swim and snorkel in crystal clear water, full of coral reefs and marine life.
Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island & Koh Pannyi

Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island & Koh Pannyi

Board the boat from the mainland located across Phuket Island to the unique, massive vertical limestone islands in the famous Phang Nga Bay. James Bond Island and Koh Pannyi are two of the more famous spots in this bay. By far the best means of enjoying the spectacular scenery, with only brief encounters with the tourist crowds is to take one of the boat trips from the northern end of Phuket. A leisurely day trip cruising through the dramatic limestone islands, occasionally stopping to enjoy quiet beaches, is far more rewarding than the standard bus-boat tour.
Ang Thong National Marine Park

Ang Thong National Marine Park

The park comprises about 40 islands northwest of Koh Samui which cover an area of 250 square kilometres in total. Major park islands include Mea Koh which has a beautiful beach and an emerald saltwater lake, Sam Sao with an exciting coral reef and huge rock arch, Thale Nai, Wua Talap and Phai-Luak.
Siam Niramit Show

Siam Niramit Show

It’s an evening of traditional Thai music, graceful dancing, special effects that will take your breath away, gorgeous costumes; and through it all, an exploration of Thailand’s rich and varied culture and history. Siam Niramit is set on a 10-acre site and, in addition to the theatre, comprises a quaint Thai village set on a canal, bringing to life the traditional lifestyles, arts and crafts of the four regions of Thailand.
